title: These are a few of my favourite things

Today we had lunch with Alicia! She's back from Melbourne till the 7th (only ): ) and it was really great catching up :D she's still her same slightly crazy self haha!

Anyway, nice things on Thursday!

The view from outside our class. Love it! That tree is like a mini forest HAHAHA.
Going to eat. (Look at Evan)
The golden orb spider :O
One of the jellyfish we spotted. I didn't realise it had spots!
Fiddlers (:
A mudskipper.
Some crab.
A juvenile monitor lizard! Haha we almost walked by it if not for Natalie (:
The boardwalk.
Outside the Swiss cottage.
Pristine beaches!

Today we went to Chek Jawa. The place is just beautiful I tell you! And it's teeming with life. Can't wait to go Ubin to cycle man.

Pictures soon! (: (:

Ooh btw I had Haagen Dazs just now haha. SO GOOD.

title: What He wants for me I will be

I went for the Humanities Programme Open House/tea last Friday and I've decided that I definitely am going to apply for this. Not that I hadn't already decided beforehand, but going there further convinced me to. Yeah, there are shortcomings and kind of like being afraid that you'll become elitist or something 'cause we'l be largely isolated from the rest of the school. But I think it's pointless to worry about it; after all, we're all different individuals and we can choose to take things however we want to (:

So I'm waiting for the news that we can start applying. I really, like really hope I can get in.

Hello. Time seems to fly by really fast!

Went to Pasir Ris Park to see mangroves on Thursday. I like this picture very much haha.
There's a stable there, but all the horses are kept in such tiny spaces! ):
Haha.
Saturday was the BBQ for my mum's birthday which we had by the poolside (:

Wow this week's gonna be pretty busy, as it was last week. All the best all you O Level people!

Here's the juvenile (dying) Wrangler's pit viper we saw the other day at Dairy Farm ): (I had to resort to this because my phone is not compatible with my computer. Heh. -.-)

Once Talia, YJ, Becky and I went out off school before morning assembly and a storm started brewing. It was really dark and ominous :O Then I saw that that tree was the only one illuminated by sunlight and the rest of the scenery was shrouded in grey. So cool!
I really like this picture! It looks like some Japanese scene. A lot of people say it looks like snow haha! And my mum was like, "Maybe you should send this to National Geographic." Lol.
Anyway today we visited Pasir Ris mangroves! :D Haha photos some other time la.

Haha doesn't this look like some coniferous tree in some overseas country (:
Oh btw, yesterday was coffee field studies again and this time we went to the Starbucks at Tampines. This time I sat with Nicole and we ordered Java Chip again. But this (look down) is SO different from the one at Raffles City. What double standards haha. The one at Raffles City is so much sweeter, thicker and filled with more, uh, chips. If I had tasted this one before that one, then maybe I wouldn't have such a good impression of Starbucks anymore... The importance of Quality Control :P

Today after 1 hour of school (waste-time TTM!), I went searching for my prom dress with my mum. And I finally found one at Daniel Yam. I'm quite worried that someone will turn up in exactly the same dress that I'm gonna wear since Daniel Yam is an almost-strictly night dress shop. I am crossing my fingers!

Since it's pink I can't wear my pink heels anymore ): (I feel so bad for buying it and not wearing it for prom eventually. Nvm, I can always wear them for other events! (: ) I'll have to find another black/dark-coloured pair. Visited Zara again and found another pair of heels that I liked because of their shape. So elegant! But once again, price comes in the way.

Oh well it's late see ya!

I bought The White Album on Friday based on Jolyn's recommendation haha.

Should I wear red for prom? Which means I can't wear the Steve Madden heels. Man, I wish I had all the money in the world! Then I could buy the Zara ones without any qualms :\

Anyway, today's weather was awesome for swimming. I love this kind of weather for it's look :D And yeah, I just did a bao zhang bao dao :O

Went out for lunch today with Andrea, Sonia, Sly and Abi. A first in many weeks because of exams for everyone and even now all my other, uh, same-age-mates are really nervous about O's. Heh. Saturday was the last cell before "study break". OH anyway, I did well for Math and Chem and that has at least salvaged me from my entire week of mediocrity. (Haha ok I sound so depressed. I'm not!) Going swimming tomorrow. Finally!

We sang this last week and this week and it really means a lot!
Through You
I can do anything
I can do all things
I am living by faith
Nothing is impossible
And my QT today was regarding this passage in Joshua which talks about the same thing, and that God will never forsake us (:

title: Packed!

Went out on Wednesday to celebrate my mum's birthday (which was last Friday haha). We had Sakae Buffet. I love the mango avocado temaki man! Anyway we went to Zara and there was this angmoh woman trying on this pair of super high very strappy heels and I immediately fell in love with them. I tried them and they looked so awesome and I thought ok I shall wear these for prom! But they're over 200 bucks. So I just KIV-ed them and left.

But now I keep thinking about them even though I've already bought another Steve Madden pair I think I might be wearing for prom. Yknow what? I think I might just go back and buy them somehow even though they cost quite a bomb. That's how much I like them! Heh.

I paid a visit to Starbucks yesterday and that was my first time in a veeeeeery long long time because I don't drink coffee and I think a lot of people just go there to, I dunno, be cool? We had to go there for our Geog field investigation and it was absolutely necessary to sit down and have a drink. So I shared a Java Chip with Sam (of course there was only a very small percentage of coffee in it) and it was so nice that I now understand why people are willing to pay 6 bucks and above for a small cup of brown liquid with whipped cream. There's something(s) inside this brown liquid that makes it DELICIOUS. You just might catch me returning to Starbucks again to spend $6.30 on another cup :O I'm kinda happy that future visits are necessary for our field studies >)

We rushed for hip-hop at Jitterbugs and after that was this private movie showcase by a Singapore director. 老师's contact is the director's co-producer (who taught in RG for a short while haha) so he got us tickets :D The director and movie cast was there and we got a picture with Nick Shen (: Haha. The event was at this place called Old School on Mount Sophia and we had to climb about a hundred or so steps to get there. It's quite an artsy *in Calvin's gay accent* and cool place with pretty nice scenery and the whole experience was quite an eye-opener. So next time if we want to produce a movie we can just send an email to 老师's contact (: COOL.

That was my (Wednesday and) packed Friday :D

title: Why?

Hello. This week has been results, results and results. I have yet to see a 4.o for my EYAs, and I hope that will come tomorrow for Math, Chem or both. Even though results haven't been too bad, I was particularly disappointed for Lit 'cause I had this really good feeling about it but the results were like, average and didn't even make it to a 3.6.

Well, at least I did okay for History. There's some sort of a furor over them coming out with something they didn't teach and everything. I guess they did cover it, but only very very minimally and during the hols I was frantically searching all my notes for points to write about. And everyone had different ideas of how important that topic was. I guess it's by God's grace that I did quite fine (:

Today we went to WELL at Dairy Farm. The forest there's pretty nice because it's a brand new reserve and human effects haven't been too pervasive yet. And just on the day I didn't bring my camera, we saw a Wrangler's pit viper! It was a tiny juvenile one, with bright green skin with red and yellow spots. Poisonous man! But the tragic thing was that its head and one part of its body has been crushed by something and although it could move it was obviously dying ): ): ): It's just so sad. I hope I can get hold of a picture soon. There're a few in my phone but.

Now either a hacker or a virus has infiltrated my hotmail account. ANNOYING. Why is life so completely exhausting and annoying. Options schedule is so tiring that I don't even have much energy to study for Chinese O's. why is the school doing this to us. Post-exam relaxation my foot! MY FOOT!

I did a gong han today. Haha wow even though it's only a gong han, I'm so proud of myself! Oh yeah, and besides that, of course, I did Math.

Hm why I am I feeling so happy about being nerdy?

title: 发愤图强. Haha.

Got back Chinese yesterday morning. It wasn't very good ): I have exactly one more month to work at it. Since everyone else is working at O's, I shouldn't feel so sian studying for Chinese. Haha.
I spent today not doing any work, mainly because there was Chinese mock exam in the morning. 4 hours (with a 1 hour break in between). It's ttly depriving me of my Saturday sleep! 2 Saturdays mornings in a row have been taken up by school activities ): And I don't know if there will be Geog fieldtrip this Saturday.

Integration on Tuesday. I think I'm quite prepared. Hope that feeling is accurate!

title: Close encounters

Today was quite an exciting day.
In the morning I went jogging with Anna. We saw a pair of flying white birds; don't know what they are though heh.
I wonder where the fruit from all these trees goes to.
After jogging. Haha.
RGS scenery is nice actually. There's some sort of nature-y feeling, especially around the track.
This is pretty cool because the class was so cold that when I took the camera out it immediately started to condense haha!
We went to Lower Peirce for our Bio fieldtrip today (it was BTNR on Monday) (: It was quite refreshing after the light drizzle and we saw quite a number of cool organisms! Had an awesome dinner at Casuarina Prata haha. It wasn't so much that the food was awesome (although it was nice!) but the thrill of trying new food with friends. Lol! Mr Lim treated us to coconuts (:
A mangosteen leaf!
Sunset (:
(I am getting increasingly irritated with Facebook; I've tried uploading my Lower Peirce pictures 2 times and they failed. Now is the third time. And it takes forever! ><)

title: It's back!

I went to Sentosa to cycle on Thursday with Anna and Joni :D It was an overcast day with no rain. That's good weather I guess, although I'd prefer a nice cloudless day; that's so much nicer to look at! Haha. It wasn't really serious exercise though. It was more of a chill-out thing. Tanjong Beach is really quite nice when there's not really anyone around except you, some other free people and maybe a lifeguard haha. It was nice and peaceful and cooling under the trees.

The little girl is the daughter of the guy who took this picture haha. After we took the picture her mum was like, "Would yall like another one without her in it?" HAHA!

I somehow like this 'cause it has a tranquil look and feel about it (:

Joni and I looked like twins, according to Anna.
After Sentosa was a movie after Sam joined us! :D We watched Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and it was quite cute and funny. Anna and I were especially tickled by the part where Flint said he was useless and thus "threw himself away" in a bin HAHA!
This is my Bio Options notebook. Today in the forest at BTNR it was so humid that the edges all started curling outwards! :\
And so that was my Thursday, a chillax day amidst a time when I should have be worrying about Math and Chinese (:

title: These things make a difference

Sometimes you're just going about your daily life and suddenly you see a nice scene before you that you really want to capture. But I don't always have a camera with me ):

Last week Talia, Becky, Yingjun and I went to the J block area (but on the other side of the fence so that we could skip morning assembly) and when we were standing on the "hill" a strn began to pick up and the wind was blowing in strong gusts and the sky was becoming more and more ominous with each second. Luckily I had my phone then (: But I doubt you'll ever get to see the shots 'cause I don't think my phone software is compatible with my computer :\ When we were almost back at school the sky behind us was really dark and this tree beside the bus stop was the only thing illuminated by sunlight; it was quite a cool sight!

And yesterday I was walking along the track and the cirrus cloud pattern in the blue sky was just awesome! Man...
